Book for School

The book is okay. The exercises in the back are a bit annoying with the made-up abbreviations. It takes me a minute to figure out what the respondent is talking about. It's one thing to use shorthand when you're actually in the room with the person describing the blots, it's another when you're not. I would've preferred to read respondent answers without the abbreviations, and then have a section discussing the importance of using shorthand in order to quickly write down the responses.

very straightforward way to learn the Rorschach

This is probably the quickest and easiest way to learn how to administer, score, and interpret the Rorschach. Exner has more detailed textbooks about his approach to the Rorschach, but I think this is the best place to start. It's what my school used when I was a doctoral student in psychology.

Excellent Resource

I was told to purchase this book for my graduate level course. I have found the book to be very useful. Exner gives you a lot of information to understand and organize what you find in the Rorschach and aids in score and creating a structural summary.
