Francis Picabia was born in 1879 in Paris, the only child of a Cuban-born Spanish father and a French mother. His first success came as a painter in an Impressionist manner. He went on to become one of the principle figures of the Dada movement in New York and Paris. In 1925 Picabia moved to the south of France, where he lived and worked through World War II. Following the war, Picabia returned to Paris, where he died in 1953.

A baffling and unclassifiable genius.

This is the catalogue of the mammoth exhibit launched in Zurich (where I saw it while ago) and now at MOMA in New York. The exhibit is a real eye-opener--including aspects of all Picabia's work--beautiful, provocative, exquisitely crafted, vulgar, erudite, rambunctious, pornographic--in all the media he explored--painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation, costume & scene design, cinema, writing. The exhibit also includes dozens of items in private collection never or rarely before publicly displayed. No serious lover of modernist art should miss it. The book documents the show in exemplary fashion, worth every penny of the not unreasonable price. I can think of only one way in which it could have been better: the insertion of a CD containing ENTR'ACTE, Picabia's experimental film collaboration with Rene Claire, a surrealist masterpiece on the level with (and in some respects superior to) the Dali/Bunuel CHIEN ANDALOU. I saw it screened at the exhibit and the moving image together with Satie's music create a lot better effect than a selection of stills.

Excellent Information

Great read. If you are new to either web penetration testing or kali linux, you'll learn a ton of very useful tools and techniques on how to determine hack-ability of a website. If you're not new to this, you'll be able to use this book as a great reference. YOu get tons of info and how-to's for each vulnerability. You get right to the nitty-gritty. The author attempt to help you get into the mind set of a person who would hack your site which helps to determine the various attack vectors. There were a few vectors mentioned that I did not think of, including some very useful shortcuts along the way. You could never really say this type of book is ever really "complete", but this is the most complete book I've read on the subject to date. Highly recommend it if you are on the fence.

This book is very worthwhile.

I liked this book because the author gives a good immersion on the theme, he introduces about the ecosystem of web applications, the needs of security, the structure, major flaws and the possible attackers. The steps to execute the penetration test are crucial and he presented the points that you need to carry on, exploring the flaws with the possible doors and the best tools. Security technology is an activity where you can never stop, you have to have caution and your team prepared to solve the flaws fast as possible.

This book makes me understand what I need to do, what is more important, this subject is so dynamic that you never feel totally comfortable to deal with, but now I can see what an efficient pen test is like. So this book delivers what it promises and I would recommend for anyone who work or are interested on this topic, this book is very worthwhile.

GREAT GREAT GREAT BOOK!

I too bought the book before the audio version was available and I am buying the audio CD as well. I enjoyed the book a great deal. To hear it in Mac's voice would just be even more inpirational. The book is about family, not giving up, dealing with adversity and getting back up after you have been knocked down. I asked people on my website to buy this book long before he died. It is truly inspirational; especially for those of us who have lost loved ones over the years; grandmothers, mothers, fathers, it is truly uplifting. It also gives you insight into the MAN that Bernie was, as well as the comedian. If you like reflecting about good times and family, this is the book to grab. It's almost like Bernie inviting you into his home.

I purchased the book Maybe You Never Cry Again before the audio version was available. The book was wonderful but to hear it in Bernie Mac's voice is special. The audio version is just like Bernie Mac telling you a long story instead of just reading to you. I loved him as a comedian but when I listen to his voice on CD I also loved him as a person. The world lost a lot more than just a comedian when Bernie Mac passed, we lost a special person. I have listened to Maybe You Never Cry Again a few times and will listen to it many more.

This product was a gift for my son who has dyslexia. We both enjoyed the CD. A special treat was that Bernie tells his story in his own voice. It was poignant and delightfully funny.

This book is so much fun to read, and it is also a counting book. My granddaughter wanted this read to her at bedtime whenever she stayed with us. When she learned to read, she would read it to me at bedtime, she's 16 now and still talks about reading this with me at bedtime when she was younger. Panda bears are one of her favorite animals so this is a great book for kids who like them. I have a grandniece who loves pandas so I bought this for her since she wasn't familiar with it. I hope she likes it as much as my granddaughter and I do. The book is paperback yet well constructed and easy to turn the pages for little fingers.

This is my all time favorite children's book! I have bought several as gifts and LOVE 'expressivly' reading to my grandkids, schoolwork classes and even bible classes! Love the message too... When I worked t Dell as a sales rep many years ago I sold a computer to this author. I was pregnant with my son at the time and Stephanie sent me an autographed copy of this book. It was my son's favorite book, I probably read it to him at least 200 times. I now purchase this book to give as a gift to any of my friends or family with a new baby on the way. Fantastic book!

Honorable Company

I had ordered this book from MediaMall Retail, but it never made it to my doorstep. I was very disappointed as I couldn't wait to start making my tropical and exotic sugar flowers. When the Company learned that I did not receive it, they attempted to contact me several times to clear the matter up. I was having problems receiving their notifications, but eventually got them. After contacting them, they immediately resolved and refunded my loss, and gave me a "Goodwill" refund. This Company is honorable and I hope they'll do business with me in the future.

Great Book

I purchased this book for my niece who is learning cake decorating and every year I purchase a book for her. This year I wanted her to expand her knowledge and make some wonderful tropical flowers for her friends & family and this book certainly had that to offer.

great investment

this book is excellent. I recommend it for people who 1st off have patience & as well as fpr people who have prior knowledge of making/dealing with gumpaste flowers. in this book, the outcome of everything is beautiful, but like i said the knowledge of what youre doing will be very beneficial. great work!
