Mr. Hall has been performing computer security work for over 17 years and has been providing security consulting services for organizations along the Colorado Front Range full-time since 1999. He has worked with Check Point firewall products since 1997. Mr. Hall holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University and has been teaching Check Point firewall classes continuously since 2003. If you run a Check Point firewall that's been installed in the last five years; BUY THIS BOOK!!!

Tim's tome is a much-needed, well-overdue, technical reference guide that has been long-missing for us Check Point engineering grouchy-types who've been drinking the pink Kool-Aid for some time. I got a gander at it while at CPX15 in DC this year (and was fairly focused flipping through the pages whilst at a piano bar late in to the evening) and knew this would be an excellent guide for my engineers and analysts alike. I've purchased for my team 9 total copies... I'd like to think to treat them like fraternity pledges; they must walk around with the Tim's book wedged in between the back of their pants and shirt or else they get the paddle.

I've personally took the time to read through it twice, making notes each time, and have recommended (and basically sold) it to Diamond Engineers already who had the privilege to shuffle through my well-worn copy. Tim has done an excellent job with this; I only hope that every year or two he creates an updated copy/revision to help spread the knowledge and raise the level of quality AND quantity of Check Point engineers out in the world.

This book is a must have if you are a network administrator and/or firewall administrator. This book has almost everything you need for firewall management. I constantly use this book as a reference to always go back and check certain commands to view certain outputs on the firewalls.

I've read every book there is on gold and silver and this is the best by a country mile. If you are new to this topic, this book may change your life. Not only will you learn everything you need to know about HOW to invest in gold and silver, you'll also learn WHY. If the buffoonery of our politicians and Wall St have left you scratching your head and wondering what the hell is going on, Maloney's insights into monetary history will make things crystal clear. History repeats, but with a little twist each time. It's wonderfully written, and the recent updates are a great addition to what has become the gold and silver bible. Can't recommend this highly enough, get yourself a copy now.

Amazing read. I found it very entertaining. Mike's relaxed storytelling style of writing makes some of the more tedious/complicated financial facts interesting and enlightening. Will recommend to all my friends and family. The information on these pages are worth their weight in gold. Pun intended

Great book, maybe not such a great title !

I am an analog / mixed signal / signal processing / RF engineer with 30+ years of design experience. A friend of mine lent me the book. I could not put it down! This book was not purchased with with the expectation of designing RF ICs, hence my minor dig on the title. The book is really a broad band reference covering a wide range of topics including some great history. Professor Lee has created a reference that is only outdone by the likes of Frederick Terman! His humor is also keenly appreciated. The rest of the ivory-tower stuffed-shirts could benefit from a lecture or two by Lee on this topic :-)

excellent book

This is an excellent book for rf circuit design and system design. I suggest that readers read the whole book, do not miss a single line. Even for subject that you think you know, you will find the author has interest insight.

About the Author

Rob Barrett worked on a Sofja-Kovalevskaja research project on early Jewish monotheisms from 2009 to 2012, is author of Disloyalty and Destruction: Religion and Politics in Deuteoronomy and the Modern World, and is now Director of Forums and Scholarship at The Colossian Forum.

Dominic S. Irudayaraj holds graduate degrees in Biblical Studies and Computers. He taught at Herat University, Afghanistan and at Andhra Loyola College, India. He is currently a doctoral student at Jesuit School of Theology of SCU, CA.

Ingrid Hjelm, Associate Professor, Department of Biblical Studies, Faculty of Theology, University of Copenhagen. Author of Jerusalem’s Rise to Sovereignty: Zion and Gerizim in Competition (T&T Clark International, 2004) and The Samaritans and Early Judaism. A Literary Analysis (Sheffield Academic Press, 2000).

About the Author
Alva Agee (1858-1943) was the American author of: Crops and Methods for Soil Improvement (1912), Right Use of Lime in Soil Improvement (1919) and First Steps in Farming (1923). He was head of the department of Agricultural Extension, acting Dean and Director of the School of Agriculture and Experiment Station of the Pennsylvania State College, and New Jersey State College of Agriculture and was later Secretary to the New Jersey State Department of Agriculture.

Not your regular gardening book

This is a wonderful collection of time-honored techniques to keep soil fertile without the need to buy fertilizers. The book reads as if an old farmer is telling you how he works the land, when he plants and the key issues to look out for that do not help, or degrade the land. I am very familiar with different clovers and catch crops, but the very simple manner that is used to lay out the process was amazing. The seamless nature of planting crop after crop to insure the land remained fertile was refreshing. One could readily identify a couple grasses or cash crops to grow whether you had livestock or not. The author did include information on commercial fertilizers and homemade mixtures to augment solis and I was pleased that it was near the end so the natural flow of planting to generate good tilthe and productiveness of soils could be appreciated. I decided that I would read the book and re-read it later to make planting notes. If you couldn't tell, I really enjoyed this book.

Timeless information.

For a book written at the turn of the century, 1910 I think. Its a very good book, the information is still very relevant in this day and age. Especially if you are interested in doing things with no or minimal chemical inputs. Also the fact that some farmers are going back to actual horse power this book is helpful. Also he works on the Old MacDonald farm model since that was what was the standard at the time.
The Kindle dictionary feature is very helpful when reading this book. I am pretty well read but my turn of the century English is not so good. Ha ha.

Awesome Dictionary!!

I needed this dictionary for a simple coding class that I am taking, but am finding it very interesting and helpful as well in explaining the details of medical illnesses and diagnoses for complications that occur during operations, etc. I am very pleased with this book. The graphics are very intense, so if you have a sensitive stomach, I wouldn't suggest getting it, but I've been in the medical field for 20+ years, so am fascinated by it. Plus, what haven't you seen on TV already, right? LOL Good luck to those of you looking for for a dictionary, but if you want something detailed and structured, this is the book for you!

I have used this resource even more than I expected to during my nursing school program. It is loaded with color pictures, and definitions are easy to understand. I highly recommend this medical dictionary to any health career professional or student, or any person trying to really understand what their doctor is telling them!

Wonderful read. Not just a dictionary.

Discovered it in a previous version when I was a student. Just bought this version for the "love" of it and to have around the house to answer questions in useful detail. Superb color illustrations throughout. Thorough, readable text. This'll be a lifetime "keeper".
