DELIGHTFULLY WICKED !!!

Stepbrother Takes is the fifth book in the powerful new series, His Twisted Games by Chloe Hawk. This is a fantastic read but please be aware, this is a serial. Personally I love serials but I recognize they may not be everyone's cup of tea. The story is exciting, thrilling, compelling, erotic, romantic, sensual and sexy. The dialogue is smart and well written. The characters are captivating, engaging and intriguing. Hawks has really kicked up the heat and it is smoking hot! Motives begin to surface and new characters are introduced. Ghosts from the past emerge to threaten Avery and Cole. Oh my! This just gets better and better! I was turning the pages so fast my IPad couldn't keep up! Wealthy older stepbrother who managed to escape an abusive father and forced to leave everyone behind-check! Beautiful angry and abused stepsister trying to escape an abusive stepfather-check! Enemies with malevolent intentions-check! Blackmail, betrayal, suspense, jealousy and drama-check! Romance, heated attraction and forbidden love-check! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read! I only have one little complaint - I love this series so much that I searched for a link to sign up for new releases but could not find anything. Hmmm....How will I know when Part Six is released? None the less, it's still a fantastic read!

Great serial

I absolutely LOVE these books. My only complaint is that they are so short leaving each one hanging by a thread for the next one to come out and no website or mailing list to get on to keep up to date with the release schedule. All in all this book has been my favorite of the series and can't wait for the next one.

I have enjoyed the series

I have enjoyed the series. However, I am tired of waiting for the next parts. These are chapters not books. Perhaps I'll pick these up again in the summer - where I can read them collectively. Several authors have been doing this cliff hanger type of series. Now, I'm stuck reading 4 or 5 series waiting for the next one. Yes, I have started to mix them up, which is annoying. For this series I just want it to be over already! I'll be glad when the Jeffrey secret is out and Avery needs to grow up mentally.

Nothing actually worth paying for in this book

This is a quickly written very short book that is more like a blog post than a book. It speakes to IoT at a VERY high level and does not go into much depth (35 pages worth, about 20 of which have any actual content). The author has 47 other titles to her name (according to a page in the book) and clearly seems to write very short pieces on hot topics to make a quick buck. In context of having paid for and read the book, the reviews seem clearly fake.

This is an okay book to understand basic IoT. It doesn't help much beyond a point and you need to eventually look out for another book for more information.

About the Author
Theoni Pappas is passionate about mathematics. A native Californian, Pappas received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1966 and her M.A. from Stanford University in 1967. She taught high school and college mathematics for nearly two decades, then turned to writing a remarkable series of innovative books which reflect her commitment to demystifying mathematics and making the subject more approachable. Through her pithy, nonthreatening and easily comprehensible style, she breaks down mathematical prejudices and barriers to help one realize that mathematics is a dynamic world of fascinating ideas that can be easily accessible to the layperson.

Her math calendars and over 18 math books appeal to both young and adult audiences alike. Three of her books have been Book-of-the Month Club selections, and her Joy of Mathematics was selected as a Pick of the Paperbacks. Excellent math-geek calendar!

I love this calendar! It is posted outside my office door (I am a physics professor at a university) and I get lots of positive comments about how fun it is to work out some the interesting answers. I look forward to the new calendar coming out every year!

Year after year the errors continue!!!

Read on to see the 2016 errors:
2015 Review: NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! Again, the author has neglected to appropriately proof her work (or the work of others who provide her with the mathematics problems). Take the problem in September 2015. The "Novel" question references a total of 2,443 pages, but the answer references a total of 2,553 pages. This is unforgivable in a mathematics. And what's more, this happens year after year after year.

And now the 2016 calendar is out. And the author didn't wait long to make her first error. January 4th: What is the product of the two solutions to these two equations? [ - .5X - 7Y = 13 ] and [ 6X + .5Y = -13 ]. The product of the solutions to these two equations is certainly NOT 4. But if you change the sign of the first variable in the first equation (resulting in [ .5X - 7Y = 13 ] and [ 6X + .5Y = -13 ]), then the two solutions are -2 and -2, and their product is 4, which is also the date of the problem. I pray that someone out there reading this review can contact the author and encourage her to hire an editor who can perform basic mathematical calculations in her future calendars.

The monograph on the WW2 German bombers Dornier Do 17 and Dornier Do 215 discusses their design, development and operational history. Designed and built in the late 1930s, originally as reconnaissance and bomber plane, the Do 17/215 was also used as a night fighter equipped with radar systems. A short account of the night fighting missions is also included.

Some good content but a lot of useless info.,

The technical info (drawings mainly) are great but the "service history" is noting more than a rambling mess of stories about pilots and how they were captured, marched half naked, fed bread by locals and other nonsense that has nothing to do with the aircraft's service. Next time, tell relevant stories about the history or leave it out and charge less,

This book is essentially a reprint with minor changes. Kagero is trying to double dip.

This is the 60th book (No. 3060) in Kagero's Monographs series. The book is an 8-1/4" x 11-3/4", square bound, 144 page card cover. The book is devoted to the Dornier Do 17/Do 215, one of three bombers the Luftwaffe started WWII with and the only one of the three that didn't serve to war's end.

The book breaks down into three parts. The first 100 pages are devoted to the background, design, development, and service history of the aircraft. The next 32 pages feature very high quality line drawings primarily in 1/72nd scale but with some fittings drawn bigger. There are a few pages of drawings in 1/96th scale detailing external differences between models. Color profiles and a few plans take up the remainder of the book and the rear cover.

All is excellent and well worth the asking price but I can only award three stars because of Kagero's occasional practice of double dipping (enticing the consumer to buy the same material twice) as in this case.

Seven years ago Kagero published a Do17/Do 215 book in this same series (it was number 39) with the same author. Are there major differences, justifying a new volume in the series? Sadly, no.

The differences are minor. There is a new cover painting. The current volume does not have the masking foil the original did. The text in the current volume is spread over 100 pages instead of the 92 of the original. This permits some additional photos to be added and in fact some photos have been reproduced at a smaller size to squeeze in some more. The drawings are identical but in the current book the Polish captions have been removed leaving only English. The are three additional pages of color profiles and as with the drawings the Polish captions have been removed.

In conclusion, I can only recommend this book if one doesn't already own the original in which case I highly recommend it. If one does own the original there is little point beyond obsessive completism (which I succumb to more often than I would like) to get this newer edition.

One of the best of this series. Overdue subject on WWII. Lots of black and white photos and color profiles are numerous and excellent. Liked description of use in WWII.

Julia Cook's books are an absolute hit with our students. I was ecstatic when I found Personal Space Camp. I'd already been using My Mouth Is A Volcano to reinforce school skills like raising your hand and waiting your turn to talk. But what about when kids are in each others space during 'carpet time' or pushing and shoving in the cafeteria line? These behaviors can make instruction difficult and cause a lot of teacher angst. I don't know how many times I've had to say, 'Please, keep your hands to yourself.' Personal Space Camp is a life saver book. Angst will be decreased!

Okay, so in defense of the kids - developmentally it's really difficult to sometimes be in control of yourself. Kids need to move and wiggle around. However, they need extra guidance building awareness of themselves and those around them before the wiggling offends another student. When there are 20 some bodies in a classroom - we have to learn to work and live together. And newsflash - negative reinforcement doesn't build awareness - it just makes kiddos feel bad. I use Personal Space Camp as a social awareness teaching tool because it makes kids feel GOOD about themselves. They love learning about the concept of personal space and how it can affect others positively and negatively. Most importantly, the story is engaging and Louis is a VERY likeable character. We also copy Louis and use the same strategies in the book. The kids love being jammed into a hula hoop and reflection gets those light bulbs flashing about personal space. And here is the best part, author Julia Cook wrote a supplementary activity and idea book!! Activities galore! I got my hands on it this Spring and started integrating the lessons in small groups. The main reason the guide rocks is because the activities provide cool visuals for the students. Yep, your lessons on personal space just got even MORE engaging! Educators, get this one on your shelf. When teaching classroom routines, make this part of your curriculum.

Good book but definitely for elementary school aged kids

I bought this book for my son, who is 3.5, and having some personal space issues in preschool. There aren’t many personal space books out there so I purchased a variety of similar books, hoping that something would resonate with him. This review is for parents of kids the same age, who might find themselves in a similar situation. My son loves reading, so I was hoping this story would hit home for him. However, although the publisher says age 4/preschool and up, it is a bit lengthy for someone his age. I have tried a few times, but so far we have only made it about half way through the book before he loses interest. It is a cute concept, but I definitely feel like it is more for kids of elementary school age. When my son hears and sees space and rockets, he thinks literally of space and rockets and has a hard time transitioning to the concept of personal space. Granted, I think personal space is hard to describe to a 3 year old because it is so abstract. However, my son has seemed to take more interest in “Cool Down and Work Through Anger” by Cheri Meiners. Although that one isn’t directly related to personal space, it does give examples of one kid jostling another and makes the point that you should keep your hands to yourself. The text was also shorter, so I managed to keep my son’s attention through the whole thing. I am hoping this is a book my son will grow into.

Funny book on serious topic

This book is great for those k-3rd grade kids who don't seem to understand that not everyone wants them in their face. Lois goes about his day crashing into people (flying through space) and is told he would have to go to Personal Space Camp. He is all excited because he imagines that he'll be flying rockets or getting to eat astronaut's ice cream. When he sees hoola hoops on the floor, he is confused... I love the gray pictures of Lois's imagination and how he views his world (or more appropriately, his out-of-this-world) experiences. At the end he finally realizes that he had misunderstood what others had been saying all along. The humor is just what this topic needs and it allows the kids to grow without being embarrassed.

Not what I expected

I found this book to be too narrow in focus in the sense that it is only useful for someone starting a company with a focus normally associated with non-for-profits (thinking building a school in Africa type thing). I was looking for something that would also offer advice for modern commercial ventures with a strong ethical value base. I'm sure it would be useful for some, but not for me.
